About FulcrumAir

FulcrumAir’s UAVs and robotic systems are purpose-built to reduce human exposure during hazardous power line construction activities. By moving complex tasks away from the danger zone, our technology helps utilities and contractors pursue a shared goal: zero preventable workplace incidents.

Do more with less. FulcrumAir’s robotic work methods help utilities and contractors complete more work with fewer operational resources. By automating repetitive and high-risk power line construction tasks, skilled crews can be reassigned sooner to activities where their experience and hands-on expertise deliver the greatest value.

Onboard sensors, computers, and measurement systems deliver a level of precision and quality control traditional methods cannot match. RTK GPS enables centimeter-level installation accuracy, torque monitoring verifies that fasteners are properly secured, and robotic precision ensures consistent results.

1. Safer work starts with a safer way to work

We’ve engineered the risk out of complex field work

Our robotic solutions allow experienced crews to complete critical work from safer positions while maintaining the accuracy, control, and productivity each project demands. Advanced technology, rigorous planning, and dedicated robotic technicians work together to reduce exposure, improve consistency, and help crews move confidently into the next phase of construction. The result is an empowered workforce, a more predictable project, and a safer path forward.

Prevent Incidents Before They Escalate

The Heinrich Safety Triangle illustrates an important principle: serious injuries are often preceded by a much larger number of unsafe conditions, close calls, and lower-severity incidents. FulcrumAir addresses risk at every level of the triangle. By using UAVs and robotic tools to remove workers from hazardous operations, we reduce opportunities for exposure before they can develop into near misses or serious incidents. This proactive, safety-by-design approach helps organizations strengthen leading safety indicators—not simply respond after an incident occurs.

The safest worker is one who never has to enter the danger zone

When a hazardous task can be completed remotely with robotic technology, sending a person into the danger zone should no longer be the default. FulcrumAir is helping the power line industry replace high-risk operations with safer, repeatable, and more controlled ways of working.

If you could eliminate life-threatening operations, wouldn’t you?

we are committed to using robotic technology to reach the goal of ZERO preventable workplace incidents around the world

We believe that modern grid ambitions require a modern approach to safety. With experience operating in the world’s most remote and demanding environments -from the deserts of Uzbekistan and the Scottish Isles to the bayous of Louisiana, the Canadian frontier, and the Australian bush – FulcrumAir has the expertise and adaptability to support customers wherever the projects take them.

USA

FulcrumAir has an extensive track record of safely operating under Part 107. FulcrumAir has also received a 44807 Exemption, which allows for heavy-lift UAV flights over 55lbs.

Canada

FulcrumAir has been a regulatory pioneer in the operation of UAVs in Canada since our founding in 2016. We were among the first recipients of BVLOS approval, as well as approval to fly a 220-lb. MTOW UAV in power line environments nationwide.

Australia

FulcrumAir operates under a CASA-issued ReOC, which allows us to fly our E2500 UAVs and LineFly robots, as well as other sub-25 kg systems on power line work sites throughout Australia.

Europe

We have established operations offices in both the UK and Germany to better serve our growing customer base in those regions. With EASA- and CAA-qualified pilots, FulcrumAir can deliver its robotic installation services throughout Europe.

2. Efficient projects are cost-effective projects

Simpler planning, faster execution, lower costs

By removing personnel from energized conductors and reducing reliance on helicopters, line carts, and repeated bucket-truck setups, FulcrumAir’s robotic platforms simplify field operations while improving safety and installation consistency. Fewer equipment movements, reduced crew coordination, and repeatable robotic workflows can lower operational complexity and create more predictable construction schedules. This helps project teams control costs, use specialized resources more effectively, and keep transmission and distribution projects moving forward.

Accelerate the Entire Project, not Just One Task

The productivity benefits extend beyond the robotic operation itself. Allowing conventional construction teams to begin subsequent phases sooner can compress overall project schedules and help critical infrastructure enter service faster. Depending on the application, project conditions, and deployment strategy, FulcrumAir’s robotic construction methods can complete targeted operations 3-7 times faster than traditional approaches.

Momentum you can see

As robotic operations progress, project momentum builds. Pre-programmed GPS locations streamline logistics, repeated bucket-truck setups are eliminated, and crews can advance to the next section while the robot completes its work. The result is more installation completed in less time – without diverting skilled line crews, aircraft crews, or other operational resources from their priorities.

3. Accuracy is agency

this is precision you can prove

FulcrumAir’s robotic platforms capture valuable quality-control data throughout installation – from visual inspections and RTK GPS locations to recorded torque data. This information can be easily packaged and shared, creating a clear, traceable record to support project quality requirements, warranty documentation, and long-term maintenance planning.

onboard camera systems for the best asset intelligence

FulcrumAir’s onboard camera systems transform every robotic installation into a valuable source of asset intelligence. High-resolution imagery captured throughout the work provides visual confirmation of component placement, installation quality, and completed assemblies – giving project teams a clearer view of progress without relying solely on manual inspections.

Combined with centimeter-level RTK GPS positioning, recorded torque data, and robotic precision, this visual record creates a traceable digital history for each installed asset. Teams can use the resulting data to strengthen quality control, simplify project documentation, support warranty requirements, and make more informed long-term maintenance decisions.

It’s more than a photo of completed work. It’s verifiable proof that every installation was completed accurately, consistently, and to specification.

4. responsible access doesn't mean less access

A small footprint on ground, a big impact in the air

UAV-deployed robotics produce approximately 95% fewer CO₂ emissions per installation than conventional methods and avoid direct operational emissions of pollutants such as NOx, SOx, PM2.5, and VOCs. By reducing the need for helicopters, heavy trucks, cranes, access roads, and repeated equipment movement, our platforms help protect air quality, limit erosion and right-of-way disturbance, and preserve vital habitats – allowing essential infrastructure work to proceed while treating the surrounding environment with respect.

95% less carbon emissions

  • Up to 98.7% less Co2 emissions per installation compared to helicopter operations

  • Improved air quality

  • UAVs do not emit toxic air pollutants like NOx, SOx, PM2.5, VOCs, like conventional bucket truck and helicopter operations

virtually zero land disturbance

  • Eliminated need for heavy truck or crane access roads

  • Eliminated Rights of Way (ROW) and access issues

  • Reduced erosion and land distURbance
